Frigidaire FRA124HT1 12-000 Btu Thru-the-wall Ac with Temp Remote Reviews
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Works great, October 6, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Frigidaire FRA124HT1 12-000 Btu Thru-the-wall Ac with Temp Remote (Kitchen) Bought this unit to replace an older, smaller, different brand to cool our garage in Arizona. I like the remote control, digital temp readout, and timer, all features my older unit did not have. Blows nice cold air. I removed a service door to our attached garage and put the unit there, so framing it in wasn't too difficult. I didn't want it to stick out the outside wall very far so had to build a frame into the garage to support the heavy weight of the unit since the sleeve (purchased separately) was extremely flimsy.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Bent fins, July 21, 2011 By SLO (LA, CA, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Frigidaire FRA124HT1 12-000 Btu Thru-the-wall Ac with Temp Remote (Kitchen) I had a similar problem with bent fins and inferior packaging - which is important because the design of the unit requires full airflow to function as designed. I took time to re-bend the grill and fins, but this is an issue. Hopefully the second unit I bought for a backup (these are for an apartment building) doesn't have a similar problem.
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful Not ready for prime time!, July 20, 2011 By Electronic Maverick "Electronic Maverick" (Milwaukee, WI USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Frigidaire FRA124HT1 12-000 Btu Thru-the-wall Ac with Temp Remote (Kitchen) Not ready for prime time! Frigidaire packing appears to be inferior and everyone should check the foils on the back of there unit. The foils should appear straight to the naked eye which guarantees maximum air flow; bent fins on the back of the air conditioner indicates the unit isimpossible of 100% air flow. Frigidaire guarantees 100% of the fins are straight when they
leave their factory. I have received three new Frigidaire air conditioners wikin the last month and none had 100% of the fins straight.
